When I was prepping for my first baby, I dove into all the research on sleep, feeding, and strollers. But when it came to choosing and using a car seat, I felt confused, overwhelmed, and unsure who to trust.

A week after my son was born, during his newborn photography session, I learned that his car seat straps weren’t positioned correctly or tight enough. My heart sank. I thought I had done everything right, but I hadn’t.

I remember thinking, this is the most dangerous thing we do with our kids, so why is it so hard to find a trusted resource to help us get it right?

That moment changed everything.

If I, a mom trying my absolute best, could feel lost, so could every other parent. So I decided to do something about it.

I became a Nationally Certified Child Passenger Safety Technician (CPST) and founded Safe in the Seat in 2018 to give parents the clarity, confidence, and support I couldn’t find. I started sharing simple, judgment-free safety tips on Instagram and quickly discovered I wasn’t alone.

Thousands of parents were relieved to finally have expert help that made sense from a mom who gets it.

What started as one mom’s mission has grown into a trusted community and a ton of expert-backed resources, including a car seat finder tool, digital guides, personalized 1:1 support, a blog, and, of course, Instagram, all designed to help you feel calm and confident every time you buckle up.

Because when you know what really matters, car seat safety stops feeling complicated and starts feeling empowering.
