Stand Out Features of this Car Seat
ClearTex fabric option is flame-retardant free
If having a seat with flame-retardant-free fabric is important to you, you will be happy to know that all of the fabric options for this seat are made with Chicco's ClearTex fabric, which is free of flame-retardant chemicals!
Seat is good for you if
You want a seat with an easy installation.
This seat features a LeverLock Self-Tensioning lock-off that helps you get a tight installation with the seat belt.
You want a swivel car seat.
This seat swivels 360 degrees. If you have it installed with the seat belt and top tether, you can easily switch between the rear-facing and forward-facing modes.
You want extra safety features.
The Chicco Fit360 has an anti-rebound bar built into its base. The anti-rebound bar is an added safety feature for rear-facing that can reduce the secondary movement of the car seat, called rebound, during a crash. When a collision occurs, the car seat will move forward, towards the front of the vehicle, and rotate downward. And as we all know from high school physics, every action has an equal and opposite reaction — so after that initial movement, the car seat will rebound, or “bounce back” towards the backrest of the vehicle seat. The ARB minimizes this bounce-back effect, helping limit the car seat movement and your child inside it! ARBs may also limit the side-to-side rotation of the car seat in a side-impact collision. Overall, it’s a great feature on a rear-facing car seat!
You have a vehicle with non-removable headrests.
If your vehicle has non-removable forward-tilting headrests and you want a swivel seat, this is probably the best option for you! It works well in Teslas, Volvos, and even the Chrysler Pacifica. Those are all some of the most challenging vehicles as far as the headrest situation.
Use caution if
You need to fit 3 people in one row of the vehicle.
At 18.5" wide, this seat is not going to work in most 3-wide configurations. If you have a very large vehicle, like a full-size truck or a Ford Expedition, it may fit three across, but you probably won't be able to use the swivel function.
You have a small back seat or tall front passengers.
If you have a smaller vehicle or you have to have the front seats pushed back to accommodate tall front passengers, this seat may not work well for you. You may want to check out some of these seats instead.
Quirks to be aware of
Top tether for rear-facing
Like some of the other swivel seats on the market, the Chicco Fit360 prefers the use of the top tether in rear-facing mode when a tether anchor is available.

Airplane Use
The Chicco Fit360 is an aircraft-approved car seat. But it would be one of our last choices. It’s very heavy at 34 pounds, and it probably would not fit rear-facing in economy seating. For help with all things airplane travel and car seats, check out our Wheels Up Course and private Facebook group.

SITS Bottom Line
The Chicco Fit360 car seat features a flame-retardant-free ClearTex fabric and a 360-degree swivel, making it easy to load and unload your child. It also includes a magnetic chest clip that's simple for caregivers to use but more challenging for young escape artists. The seat belt installation is made easy with a LeverLock Self-Tensioning lock-off system, and extra bases are available for use in multiple vehicles. However, at 18.5" wide, it may not work in most three-across configurations, and it may not be ideal for smaller vehicles or tall front passengers.
