Stand Out Features of this Car Seat
It is lightweight.
This seat only weighs 11 pounds. This makes it very easy to use as a travel car seat.
Seat is good for you if
You travel often.
As mentioned previously, this convertible car seat only weighs 11 pounds. It's a long-lasting option that 6-7+ years of age. It works well forward-facing on any airplane seats that have movable armrests. For the rear-facing mode, you may need seats with more legroom than the economy seats offer.
You want to use a convertible seat from birth.
We were able to try a 5-day-old baby in the Evenflo Titan 65. At birth, she was 7.5 pounds, 20.5 inches. Her fit was excellent. This seat does have a 19" minimum height limit, so that's something to be mindful of if you are planning to use it from birth. We had to use the shorter harness loops and use the newborn crotch buckle setting for a proper fit. But these adjustments were easy to make. Baby's head positioning here is perfect. It's important to remember that you a baby's head does not need to be immobilized. Do not be tempted to add extra padding around a newborn's head.
Your vehicle has non-removable headrests.
This seat will work well in most vehicles, even the ones with non-removable forward-tilting headrests.
You have a tall child.
As mentioned previously, if you are looking for a convertible car seat that fits tall children, this is a great option. It works best for the kids who are tall and thin. Kids who are higher percentile for weight may run out of harness length before meeting one of the max limits of the seat.
Use caution if
You have a small back seat.
This seat will fit rear-facing in most vehicles. But if the back seat is very small or the front passengers are tall, it may not work for you since it only has one recline position. Here, we have it installed with the seat belt in a Toyota Camry with enough room for the driver, who is on the shorter side at 5'7".
You need to fit 3 people in one row of the vehicle.
This seat is 20" wide, so it's not going to be a good option if you need to fit 3 car seats or people in one row of your vehicle.

Child Fit Information
Our original newborn model is now 4 months old. She is 14 pounds and 25" tall. She still fits very well in this seat!

Airplane Use
The Evenflo Titan 65 is an aircraft-approved car seat. This is a good option for travel. Although I failed to get a picture, I was able to use this seat on a plane when my daughter was 6 years old. It fit well with the plane seat's armrest and was easy to wheel through the airport on a cart. If traveling internationally, you will need a locking clip. Contact the car seat manufacturer for a free locking clip. We have a video here of how to use a locking clip. SITS Bottom Line
The Evenflo Titan 65 is a lightweight, versatile car seat weighing only 11 pounds, making it ideal for travel. It has a tall 19" harness height, suitable for taller, slimmer children, and also fits newborns well. This seat is compatible with most vehicles, even those with non-removable forward-tilting headrests, though its 20" width may not be ideal for three-across setups. It generally fits well rear-facing, though smaller back seats may limit front passenger space. Overall, this is a great option that will work for most people's budgets!
