Rigid Lower Anchors
The rigid lower anchors are simple to use. To recline the seat, set the lower anchors to one of the three available positions until the line on the side of the seat is level with the ground. Installing the Joie Mint Latch with the lower anchors is the easiest way to get in and out of the vehicle quickly.

The Joie Mint Latch infant seat is quite compact, so it is a good options for vehicles with smaller back seats.
You frequently use Uber/Lyft/taxis.
This seat is very easy to install in any vehicle that has lower anchors, which would be all vehicles since 2002. You click it in and you are ready to go!
You need to fit 3 people in one row of the vehicle.
Since the Joie Mint does not have a base, it is easier to fit in 3 across situations. In some vehicles, you may need to do a seat belt installation for this seat when fitting three across.
Use caution if
It only fits the Joie strollers.
At this time, the Joie Mint Latch infant seat is only compatible with the strollers and travel systems made by Joie. Caregivers who have preferred strollers may find that this is a con.
Quirks to be aware of
Child Fit Information
We were able to try a 2-month-old who is 10.5 pounds and 23 inches tall in this seat. She had an excellent fit! In this picture, she is using the infant insert, but it must be removed by 11 pounds, so keep an eye on that when using this seat.
Installation Information
Airplane Use
The Joie Mint Latch is an FAA-approved car seat. This is a good option for travel. If traveling internationally, you should contact Joie for a locking clip in case you end up in a vehicle that doesn't have lower anchors. We have a video here of how to use it.
