Stand Out Features of this Car Seat
Flame-Retardant Free
All of the fabric options for the Uppababy Alta V2 are flame-retardant-free. For more information on car seats and flame retardants, check out this post.
Rigid Lower Anchors
The Uppababy Alta V2 booster has rigid lower anchors to hold it into the vehicle. They are optional, but using them keeps the booster in place when the child is buckling, and it keeps it from becoming a projectile in a crash if the child is not riding in it. If you do not use the lower anchors, the child should buckle in the seat belt over the booster whenever they are being dropped off.
Seat is good for you if
You need to fit 3 across.
This seat is 17.5" wide, so it may work in some three-across configurations, although we have not yet had an opportunity to try this.
You have a child whose build is tall and thin.
This booster is relatively narrow. It will give a good seat belt fit for on the thinner side. But larger kids may be uncomfortable due to the narrow seating area.
Use caution if
You have a car with non-removable headrests
This booster has to be flush with the vehicle seat, so it typically won't work with non-removable forward-tilting headrests. For better options, check here.

SITS Bottom Line
The Uppababy Alta V2 booster seat is flame-retardant-free and includes rigid lower anchors, which are optional but help keep the seat secure and prevent it from becoming a projectile in a crash. It also features an adjustable lap belt guide, one of only two boosters with this feature, which helps position the lap belt correctly and encourages proper seating posture. At 17.5 inches wide, the seat may fit in some three-across setups, though we have not tested this yet. It's a good fit for tall, thin children, but larger kids may find it uncomfortable due to its narrow design. The booster may not work with cars with non-removable forward-tilting headrests; all boosters, it is not approved for aircraft use.
